I made this with BBQ sauce for my family in the crockpot using boneless skinless chicken breasts. It would work great shredded and served on burger buns as BBQ'd chicken. With the BBQ sauce it has a strong BBQ taste. My family said it reminded them of BBQ beef.

Really good recipe. I froze it for OAMC and it turned out super on the grill. Nice flavor, not overpowering with soy / honey. I'm adding this to my regular rotation.

My BF and I enjoyed this dish. I am not sure what went wrong though. While I thought it was tasty enough, I found it a bit bland. The next time I cook this, I will add salt, pepper, and garlic. I used low sodium soy sauce which might account for the lack of saltiness. It was very easy to assemble with ingredients on hand, and the chicken (boneless, skinless thighs) just fell apart...so I shredded them, served it over brown rice with some of the cooking liquid. I might try the BBQ sauce.... Thanks!
