Homemade Hamburger Buns (Bread Machine)

You will never want to buy hamburger buns again after trying this recipe. Easy to do using a bread machine and so awesome! You can also top rolls with sesame seeds after brushing with melted butter.

SERVES 12 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Place all ingredients in pan of bread machine according to manufacturer's directions.

    Select dough setting.
  3. 3
    When cycle is complete, turn out onto floured surface.
  4. 4
    Cut dough in half and roll each half out to a 1" thick circle.
  5. 5
    Cut each half into six 3 1/2" rounds with inverted glass as a cutter.

    Place on greased baking sheet far apart and brush with melted butter.
  7. 7
    Cover and let rise until doubled, about one hour.
  8. 8
    Bake at 350° for 9 minutes.
  9. 9
    Note: Oven temperatures vary so check after 9 minutes to see if done. Some reviewers baked these anywhere from 12 to 30 minutes.

These were light and so fresh tasting. A very nice touch to our cookout. I sprinkled sesame seeds on them just before baking. Thanks for a great recipe!

    Even doing this what half whole wheat flour yeilded a yummy, light but perfectly dense bun. It held up to my saucy pulled bbq beef no problem!

    I'm never buying Hamburger buns again!! I exchanged 1 cup of the bread flour for 1 cup of whole wheat and it worked very well.

    this is a great, easy recipe with quality result. I did use a large tuna can to cut since I wanted them for pork tendeloins. the dough is easy to work with , nice soft and tender.
