I don't know why but the combination to me just screams Thanksgiving/Christmas.

SERVES 8 (change servings and units)

    Toast the almond slivers in the 350 degree oven for 5 minutes and set aside.

    Bring chicken stock to a rolling boil and add green beans.

    Cook, stirring occasionally, to desired doneness.

    Drain greenbeans and toss with almonds, butter and lemon pepper.
