Haricot Vert - French Green Beans With Garlic and Sliced Almonds

This side or I would eat this as a snack. It has a garlicy, crisp, squeaky bite to it! Tossed with almonds. Use tender, young, thin beans.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

    In a large pan over medium high heat, heat oil adding almonds and toss till for 1 minute add garlic to lightly brown add beans and water or broth cover for 5 minutes on low heat.

    Season with salt and pepper.

Very, very good taste! I doubled the garlic, used chicken broth and frozen haricot vert that I've been waiting to find a recipe to use — guess I found the winner. Will be making this again and again. Thanks for this one!

    Wonderful way to fix green beans. I love the garlic and the almond accents, never would have thought to add that and they were just the right crisp tender that you want with fresh green beans. Thanks for a wonderful dish.

    Lovely recipe! I omitted the broth and just sauteed the beans in the olive oil and other ingredients and it came out great. Thanks for posting a great everyday recipe.
