Herbed Mashed Potatoes

I like the cheese, herbs and garlic in this potato dish. You can use other herbs if you prefer, parsley and chives is also a nice combination. It will depend on the type of potatoes you use how much milk and sour cream you need.

SERVES 2 -4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Boil potatoes with the garlic cloves until soft, mash the potatoes.

    Add cheese and stir until melted.
  3. 3
    Add milk until texure is smooth.
  4. 4
    Add sour cream and stir until blended.
  5. 5
    Add basil, chives and nutmeg.
  6. 6
    Add salt and pepper to taste.

Delish! I made these exactly as described and they were a terrific hit with our family. We really loved the creamy texture and the addition of the herbs. Thanks Pets for a really nice side dish that we will indeed repeat often. Made for the Zaar Stars game.

    Well, I knew we would love these and we did! Wouldn't change a thing: perfect flavor and consistency. I used parsley and chives as suggested in the intro description and they were delicious. Thanks much...will make these often!

    I thought these were very good potatoes. I had some chives on hand so when the picture was on the front page at zaar I knew what I should do with them. I used russet potatoes and cream instead of milk just cuz. I did omit the basil this time because I used up all I had on the chicken I was making. They were a nice change from regular mashed potatoes.

    i used red bliss potatoes, 3 cloves of garlic, and fresh basil, parsley and chives from my garden. nice change from plain old mashed potatoes.
