While my husband was stationed in Germany and deployed to Iraq, I became great friends with Heidi, who gave me this recipe and got me into Asian cuisine.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Trim fat from meet and cut into thin strips.
  2. 2
    In a medium bowl, mix soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil and pepper.
  3. 3
    Add beef strips, cover and let marinade for 1 hour.
  4. 4
    Drain marinade into separate container.
  5. 5
    Cook beef in frying pan.
  6. 6
    Add garlic and brown, adding butter if juice is evaporated.
  7. 7
    Pour marinade into pan and cook on high heat for 1 minute.
  8. 8
    Serve immediately with rice.
