Hamburger, Macaroni, and Bean Soup

Another easy, hearty soup for a quick meal.

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

    In a large soup pot over medium heat, combine the meat, onion, garlic, and bell pepper.

    Cook, breaking the meat up using a spoon, until the meat is browned and vegetables are tender (about 10 minutes).

    Add in the oil if needed to prevent mixture from sticking.
  4. 4
    Add in the rest of the ingredients; bring to a boil.
  5. 5
    Lower heat and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes or until macaroni is tender and flavors are blended.

very yummy dont normally mix beans and macaroni but this was very tasty i added 2 bay leaves and let it simmer for a 10 minutes before adding the macaroni

    This was a good basic recipe. When I make it again, I'll add in some more spices and maybe hot sauce to give it a little zip.

    This is simple to make and quick enough to even do after a long day at work. The flavours are simple and blend together well. I added a couple of dashes of tabasco to give it a little kick, a little sugar and used frsh basil instead of dried as I prefer it. Thanks for sharing.
