This is an interesting tomato free salsa I found in the 'World Cafe 2' cookbook which celebrates vegetarian recipes from around the world.

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

It's "OK"..... tasted far better than it looks..... I needed to add extra lime juice.

    I followed the recipe exactly. I think it could have been a little more spicey, I like my salsas to have a kick. Also, I think I would cut back on the amount of carrots the next time simply because they are not my favorite and you can taste them in this recipe. But all in all a nice salsa recipe and quite different. Made for ZWT4

    I'm sure I would be said to have ruined this salsa when I reduced the amount of red chilies to just half a chili, but when I think 'salsa' I think really 'mild' & that's how I did this one! AND, I thought it was a great salsa, so there! Thanks for sharing your recipe! [Made & reviewed while on tour in Central America with the Zaar World Tour 4]
