Very nice! I used a salmon cutlet and pan-fried because it was a bit cool outside and it came out a treat. I used a little more wasabi powder with the mayonnaise because it was the pure form which is a bit milder, I think the posted quantity would be spot on for the stronger horseradish based powders. It had a nice subtle wasabi flavor that didn't overpower the salmon in any way.

This is amazing! I used cod filets, as that was what I had on hand, but it was perfect. I added more wasabi (we like it hot!
and my hubby said it was one of the best meals he had ever tasted. Thanks Lorac!

Tomoko especially enjoyed the Japanese flavours of this fish. I used a bit more wasabi to marinade the fish (about 1 teaspoon of paste) and although I only had an hour to marinate it, I think it was enough. I actually cooked this in the oven under the broiler there, and it worked really well. Thaks Lorac for a recipe we'll be making again soon.

Great flavor! My DH said (and I quote):"OMG this is good!" I found the soy not to be that strong and the wasabi mayo tasted quite a lot more like a Western-style horseradish sauce than it did Asian. But that is not a bad thing as I often find many Asian dishes relying too heavily on soy. But if one likes a more heavy Asian flavor, then I think they should up the soy a bit, but watch the consistency of the sauce as they do. Cooked very nicely even though it was a bit cold out and our fire was not the hottest (for that reason). I am already looking forward to having this again! Thanks for posting.
