Grilling carmelizes the sugars and gives the figs a smoky taste. Use as a garnish, condiment to pork or chicken. Top a salad. A nice way to start or end a meal. This can be pan fried as well.

Grilling brought out even more sweetness and flavors in the figs. Loved the contrasting saltiness of the feta.

I really liked this. I grilled the figs and then topped them with feta cheese mashed together with fresh herbs--basil, parsley, thyme--and cracked black pepper. Then I drizzled them with some honey I thinned with lemon juice. Yum!

This is a superb appetizer. The sweet, grilled figs topped with the sharp feta cheese and THAT counter-pointed by the herbiness of the basil - really a textural and flavour masterpiece. This is going to be at all my summer dinner parties, Rita.
