Grilled Bourbon-Marinated Pork Chops or Pork Tenderloins

Recipe #171002 | ½ day | ½ day prep | add private note
KITTENCAL

Plan ahead the pork needs to marinade for a minimum of 12 hours. Use this marinade for 2 pork tenderloins or 6-8 pork chops. You can reduce the bourbon to 1/3 cup but 1/2 cup is better!

SERVES 8 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 8 pork chops (about 3/4-inch thick or thicker or use 2 tenderloins)

MARINADE

Directions

  1. 1
In a bowl whisk together the marinade ingredients; place in a large zip-loc plastic bag.
  2. 2
Add in the pork chops or 2 pork tenderloins; seal the bag.
  3. 3
Turn to coat with the marinade.
  4. 4
Refrigerate for a minimum of 12 hours.
  5. 5
Set grill to high heat (about 400°F).
  6. 6
Remove the pork and discard the marinade.
  7. 7
    Place on grill.
  8. 8
For pork chops cook for about 15 minutes on each side, depending on how thick your chops are.
  9. 9
For pork tenderloins, cook for about 25 minutes turning occasionally or until the pork is cooked; tent with foil and let sit for about 10 minutes before slicing.
  10. 10
    Delicious!

Delicious!! Marinated over night and made in broiler, about 12 minutes. Perfect combination of flavors.

i had very little time to marinate these, b/c i just found the recipe today, and made it today.. anyway, they were awesome - we should have taken a picture b/c they were so pretty... we used bone in pork chops - don't salt before putting them on the grill - this is a redundant step as there is plenty of sodium in the soy.

I used this marinade for 24 hours on 2" think Iowa cut pork chops and broiled them for 10 minutes per side on a low broil. This marinade gave a nice, light BBQ flavor and the chops were very juicy! (Even after being in the freezer for 6 months!) Next time, I will use thinner chops (but sometimes you just have to use what you have!) With thinner chops, this would be a 5 * recipe
