Green Tea will tighten pores, provide anti-aging benefits and is ideal for soothing troubled or sunburned skin. This comes from the Herb Companion Website and is added for the Comfort Cafe. This infusion should be refrigerated if not used within 3 days. Adendum: After reading up on camomile tea, I've added it to the infusion.

SERVES 8 , 4 oz (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup distilled water
  • 2 teaspoons green tea leaves
  • 1 camomile tea bag

Directions

  1. 1
Bring water to boil, pour over tea leaves and camomile tea bag; steep 3 minutes.
  2. 2
Strain tea leaves and allow to cool. Pour into a glass container.
  3. 3
Apply to skin with a cottonball.
  4. 4
Refrigerate if not used within 3 days.

I have been using the green tea teabags that come with chinese takeout, instead of loose green tea - makes this pretty much a freebie!

I didn't use this on my face but I did on my hands. They get very chapped and sore between cleaning, dishes and being outside LOL It didn't heal them but was very soothing when many lotions seem to irriate them. Thanks for a great cheap "recipe" Made for Everyday is a Holiday

This is excellent. My oldest DD has KP bumps on her forehead pretty badly and they are itchy. When she scratches them, they can bleed and are painful. I used this tonic on her forehead for a week and the redness went down considerably. It's a very soothing tonic and I'm very glad that I found it. Made and Reviewed for 123 Hit Wonders Tag - Thanks!
