One of our special dishes...We have this at most special occasions...easy to make...and so tasty....don't leave out the potato chips...they make it special...

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. 2
    Melt butter in pan.
  3. 3
    Add flour, salt, pepper and mustard.
  4. 4
    Cook over low heat until bubbly and smooth.
  5. 5
    Add milk and cook until mixture thickens.
  6. 6
    Add cheese, blend well, until all cheese is melted.
  7. 7
    Add green beans to cheese mixture.
  8. 8
    Pour into a buttered casserole dish and sprinkle with parmesan cheese, potato chips.

    bacon and paprika.
  10. 10
    Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

Quite different and unique, a very different way to prepare green beans, would be good at Thanksgiving time.

    This is a very rich and delicious way to make a green bean casserole without using cream of something soup and fried onion rings! This would be a great recipe for a holiday meal, when you weren't worried about calories or fat content! Thanks for posting this yummy recipe. Made for Holiday Tag game.

    Wowzer, this is a great spinoff from the usual greenbean casserole that I favor. I'm going to keep this one under SAVED for Easter dinner this year. 5 Stars BK for a fabulously rich casserole. BTW, I used BBQ potato chips. It flavored well w/the added bacon topping. Made for March's Bev. Tag!
