For some reason this turned out quite watery, even though I drained the beef and the beans, it was tasty though, but very similar to the way in which I make Sheppards pie which we prefer. I used homemade mashed potatoes.

This was great for a super quick "I don't wanna cook" night. I found the ground beef mixture to be a bit bland though. I added some garlic powder to mine and a little minced onion. I think next time (and there will be a next time), I will try some of those fried onions mixed in the beef mixture and possibly on top to - like the traditional green bean casseroles. I made mine in the oven too..about 15 minutes at 350 to heat and melt cheese.

Oh My God! I grew up with this recipe. Except Mom made it in the oven, not the micro. I'll have to try this method. Talk about making a traditional comfort food faster! Thanks!
