Gourmet Garlic Loaf - Over the Top Garlic Bread!

    Cut french loaf in half lengthwise.
  2. 2
    Tear out the soft inner portion of the bread, leaving the crust.
  3. 3
    Place the 2 halves of the loaf (crusts) onto a foil lined baking sheet.
  4. 4
    Melt butter in a large skillet, stir in garlic and sesame seeds.
  5. 5
    Add bread chunks and fry until bread is golden and the butter is absorbed.
  6. 6
    Remove from heat.
  7. 7
    Combine parmesan& jack cheeses, sour cream, parsley flakes and lemon pepper seasoning.

    Combine bread mixture and artichoke hearts and add to cheese mixture.
  9. 9
    Spoon mixture into bread crust shells.
  10. 10
    Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

    Garnish with olives, tomato slices and parsley sprigs.

I've made this twice now and LOVE it!! I left out the lemon pepper seasoning and artichoke hearts to suit our tastes and it is phenomenal! Thanks for posting!

    Really delicious and rich and filling - in fact, the leftovers were my dinner tonight! Serve with grilled meat and other simple sides and let this bread be your splurge! I did use light sour cream successfully, and don't leave out the sesame seeds - they add a nice flavor and texture.
