Gooey Mozzarella-Garlic Bread

I got this recipe from Quick Fix Meals with Robin Miller. My family loves this with pasta dishes.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. 2
    Brush olive oil all over inside of bread.
  3. 3
    Sprinkle garlic over oil.
  4. 4
    Top with cheese and close bread, as if making a sandwich.
  5. 5
    Wrap bread in foil and bake 10 to 15 minutes, until cheese melts.

SO yummy.... the only thing I did just a bit differently was to add the garlic powder to the olive oil before I brushed it on the bread. The entire loaf was gone in an instant and my 2-1/2 year old twin granddaughers ate a ton! I think we have just found our favorite ever garlic bread!

    Yum!! So easy to put together and so cheesy. Though I had to use some cheddar, as I was out of the mozzarella I thought I had. But that was okay, because it was still great! Thanks

    We liked this bread but were a bit dissapointed that the garlic flavour did not come out more (maybe some crushed/minced fresh garlic would do this) - will try again as I feel it has more potential. Thank you bmcnichol for sharing. Made for 123 Hit Wonders. UPDATE - put 2 teaspoons of freshly minced garlic for the garlic powder and so much more enjoyed.
