By: Charishma Ramchandani
Jun 2, 2005

To rid your pan of burnt food stains, this is an easy trick I learnt here in Mumbai from the Asian Age newspaper's article "Rid your kitchen of mess" by Rupali Nayar. Enjoy!

1 cup (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Put everything in a pan that contains the burnt food stains.
  2. 2
    Bring to a boil.
  3. 3
Allow the liquid to cool in the pan.
  4. 4
    Scrub using a scrubber.
  5. 5
The dirt stains will come off easily now.
  6. 6
    Enjoy!

Mmmmm!! This was so yummy, DH didn't take too well to the soap though. This dish is best served hot, preferably after you've cooked bacon.. mmm, bacon bits. All jokes aside, thanks Charishma for posting, it really does work!!

Haven't tried this, but if it doesn't work try doing the same thing with a tablespoon or two of powdered, automatic dishwasher detergent.
