I love oatmeal and eat it most mornings at work. I made this today at home to try it out and it is really a nice treat! I had braeburn apples on hand so I used those but my apples were a little tart so I don't think I will use this variety in the future. So much better than the little apples and cinnamon packets you buy premade. Thank you Annacia!

Well, Annacia, this was the hit of the house this morning. I actually times the recipe by 4. The only change I made was I left out the salt, and added the milk, and brown sugar. A great weekend treat. Made for Zaar Stars.

This was great, very strong apple flavour so sweetner is not needed. I used quick cooking oats, grated apple & half juice, half milk to cook the oats for a creamier consistency. A nice change from plain porridge, thanks!

I just made this for a late night snack. It was tasty, quick (about 15 minutes total), and not overly sweet. I really liked how healthy this was...check out the nutritional info. I used a whole red delicious apple, which was probably closer to one cup. I left out the salt and the milk. I started to eat it without brown sugar, but found I need about a tablespoon for a little more sweetness. I like apple crisp better for a dessert (of course...much more fattening!), and regular oatmeal better for breakfast, but this is a great option for a quick & easy sweet treat.
