These pecan pralined graham crackers are so tasty; I've been making them for years...The recipe calls for a whole box of grahams, but you may not use them all, just fill the sheet pan, and you're ready to go!

SERVES 9 -10 , 45 bars (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Preheat oven to 325.
  2. 2
Separate sections of graham crackers and line on ungreased jelly roll pan so that graham crackers are all touching.
  3. 3
Finely chop pecans in the food processor and sprinkle evenly over the grahams.
  4. 4
In a saucepan, melt together butter, margarine and sugar. Bring to a boil and stir constantly for 2 minutes.
  5. 5
Pour slowly and evenly over the top of the graham crackers and nuts until all are covered.
  6. 6
Bake at 325 for 10-15 minutes. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  7. 7
Separate with a knife. Store in an airtight container. These may be frozen.

WOW Alli ~ these are quite the most easy and wonderfully tasting sweet snack. Made these to share with my sister and mom, Mimi! They were a definite hit. Thanks so much for the great new recipe idea. Made for your Football Pool Week #4 win, November 2009!

Easy peasy, and delightful! The graham crackers provided a hearty base flavor and kept the pecan-praline mixture from tasting overly sweet. I used about 1/3 of the box of graham crackers, 15 crackers, all that fit in my 9x13 pan. I used the full amount of finely chopped pecans, and half the rest of the ingredients. Cooking for 2 people on a diet, I think these proportions made sense. This was so easy, I can just make more when I run out! Thanks for sharing this recipe, Alli! Made for 1-2-3 Hit Wonders.
