Gluhwein (Mulled Wine)

This very easy recipe comes from Winemaker magazine. I liked it because I had all of the ingredients on hand, it is really fast, and because it warmed me up and helped alleviate the symptoms of the cold I had at the time. According to the recipe source, the mixture can be kept warm in a crockpot, or on a coffee warmer (covered) for several hours, and can be successfully reheated the next day. (Mine never lasted long enough for me to testify to the above statement.)

Wonderful! Tastes so much like the gluhwein at the Christmas markets in Germany.

Fab - u - Lous!! This is my type of drink. Hint of spice, hint of sweetness, smooth and of course I love red wine, so this was a total treat for me. It didn't say when to add the wine so I added it with the orange peel. I halved the recipe and wished I hadn't. Its very good cold too!! Lovely libation! Made for the Babes of ZWT4.
