This is a recipe we learned in culinary school. Comes in handy for Christmas parties to have around as snacks, and also taste great in salads

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Place brown sugar and water in a heavy skillet and cook over medium heat, stirring, until sugar is melted.

    Add pecans and cook, stirring constantly, until water evaporates, about 5 minutes.

    Spread pecans on parchment paper or on a baking sheet until cooled and dry.

    Store in an airtight container.
