a really refreshing drink...i guess a few dashes of lemon juice will add to the zest of this beverage. You will love it.

All I can say is WOAH! I love the instant Salabat from the local market next to my house.. but I've gotta say, the taste here is so much better. It's kind of earthy and more lemony to me, I love that taste. I'm glad you shared this!

I just love ginger, so this was wonderful! I just brought the ginger to a boil, then simmered for a few minutes. A strong, spicy drink that I loved! Thanks! Made for Beverage tag.

Yes! I love ginger and ginger beer and this tastes kinda like a strong ginger beer. It was also very easy to make and healthy to boot! It is meant to be sipped slowly as it has a burning zippiness to it. I like it hot and cold. My husband is half Filipino...so I'm always on the look out for Filipino recipes. I made half of a recipe. I peeled and sliced the ginger thin. I used extra water. I simmered it over low heat for about an hour. Thank you for the keeper recipe. Made for Zaar Tag.
