This sounds so good. It's from taste of home.

SERVES 12 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    In a saucepan, melt butter.
  2. 2
    Stir in flour, bouillon, onion salt, 1 ts[ pepper and white pepper if desired until smooth.

    Gradually stir in milk and broth.
  4. 4
    Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  5. 5
    Add sausage; heat through.
  6. 6
    Combine eggs, cottage cheese, and remaining pepper.
  7. 7
    Spread 1 Celsius sausage mixture in a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish.

    Later with three noodles, a third of the sausage mixture, half of the cottage cheese mixture and sauerkraut and 3/4 Celsius Monterey Jack.

    Repeat layers.

    Top with the remaining noodles and sausage mixture[dish will be full].

    Cover and bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes or until bubbly.

    Sprinkle with remaining Monterey Jack.

    Bake 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
  14. 14
    Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.

This was super.. except it was a bit too salty for my taste. I will make it again however I'll use 1/2 or 1/4 of the onion salt suggested. Used a nice smoked bockworst sausage from Denningers. Made enough for about 6 people. Thanks!

    I thought this recipe sounded like it had sort of strange ingredients but I tried it anyway. It is delicious! It also freezes well and reheats in the microwave. Very tasty

    Oh, I knew the zaar would come through! I've searched my files for this favorite and came up empty handed. This is one of my husband's ALL-TIME favorites. A different twist and SOOO good! I sometimes substitute 1 lb. ground turkey seasoned with 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp thyme and sage, and a pinch of cayenne for the kielbasa. Thanks for the recepie!! Oh, and use the "pre-cooked" lasagna noodles. Saves time!
