This was a wonderful and healthy substitute for the traditional green bean casserole for holiday dinner. I used panko for breadcrumbs, and the small thin green beans (frozen). No leftovers.

My husband and I both loved this. I cute the recipe in half and cut the butter to 1/4 tablespoon (to accomodate a lower fat diet) and it was plenty for flavor. This is something I could serve at a dinner party.

This was easy to make and was not your average green bean casserole!!! I didn't want to make it but because of the uniqueness of the lemon and garlic i decided to do it and it turned out great!!! The only thing I would say that there needed to be more of was the bread crumbs, but otherwise, this was a great dish!!!

I had a Zaar tag dinner tonight and this was on the menu. I was not crazy about it but DH liked it. We used our green beans that we put up from our garden and I had to adjust the heat because of other items being cooked at the same time. Will probably be making this again.
