Garlic Buttered Green Beans

I think this was originally from a Reiman publication. Another fine way to spice up plain old green beans.

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Cook green beans in water to cover until crisp-tender.
  2. 2
    Meanwhile, in a skillet, saute mushrooms in butter until tender.
  3. 3
    Add onion and garlic powders.
  4. 4
    Drain beans, add to skillet and toss.

    Season with salt and pepper.

    I used four tablespoons of butter and a whole pound of mushrooms — really tasty.

    Great way to liven up my canned green beans.I also added onions instead of the onion powder.YUM, YUM.T hanks !!

    Very tasty side dish, garlic and onion powder were not over-powerful. It gave it a wonderful taste, and the mushrooms were a nice addition. Great for company or potluck's. Was easy to make!
