This recipe is a favorite from the Pillsbury Bake-off. It is a simple cookie recipe that always pleases my family. It is also much more economical than buying those sprinkle cookies from the grocery store.

36 cookies (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1 (18 1/4 ounce) package pillsbury plus funfetti cake mix

  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can pillsbury pink vanilla funfetti frosting

Directions

  1. 1
    Heat oven to 375.
  2. 2
In large bowl, combine cake mix, oil and eggs; stir by hand until thoroughly moistened.
  3. 3
Stir in decorator sprinkles from the cake mix.
  4. 4
    Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
  5. 5
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  6. 6
Flatten to 1/4 inch thickness with bottom of glass dipped in flour.
  7. 7
Bake at 375 for 6 to 8 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
  8. 8
Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets.
  9. 9
Spread frosting over slightly warm cookies.
  10. 10
Immediately sprinkle each with decorator sprinkles from frosting.
  11. 11
    Store in tightly covered container.

I just made these and can't stop eating them! The texture is fantastic and they taste so good! They are so simple and fast to make - I was done and cleaned up in less than a half hour. This is such a great recipe to have on hand!

I love how easy these are! The are fantastic. I like using the French Vanilla Mix, and I have my own collection of sprinkles and fancy decorating supplies, so I never buy the frosting with sprinkles. I have also made these with the Cherry Chip Mix, and they were great for valentines's day. I love how soft they bake up and easy to decorate. Nice recipe!

I make these all the time. I like the slightly lemony taste they have. I don't use frosting. I shape the dough into the balls and then press them with a glass with sugar on the bottom. Very good.
