I couldn't eat these. They had a very gross flavor. I tried it with Splenda. Maybe with sugar its better. I don't know, but I don't think I'll be trying this again. Oh, and mine looked nothing like any of the photos. Not even close. And I love to bake...followed this to a T.

Last night my fiance asked me to whip up some brownies so I found this recipe and headed off to the kitchen. He walked in while I was measuring out the applesauce and says, "Oh great, low fat brownies". Well once they came out of the oven I gave him a bite and his eyes lit up and he says "Wow, they taste like brownies!" That should say it all. Thank you Derf. Not sure what becel is but I used Smart Balance and Splenda. Will make this again.

This has a half cup of cocoa powder listed in the ingedients but doesn't say when to add it to the recipe. I combined it in with the flour, baking soda and salt and it turned out just wonderful. Great tasting brownies. Very delicious with the Raspberry Orange sauce.

These are very good! I didn't have low-fat margarine, but I;m sure they're still relatively kow-fat. My only complaint is that they;re a bit gooey (hot knife is definitely the key to cutting them up!) — so next time I may try adding a bit more flour. I may also try cutting down a bit on the sugar — they're plenty sweet! The family liked them, and they didn't even know they're low fat!
