This is the recipe you've been looking for! It makes a perfect sesame chicken. This excellent recipe comes out perfect every time with little fuss and inexpensive ingredients you probably have on hand. Ingredients

  • 3 whole boneless chicken breasts

Marinade

Sauce

Frying

  • peanut oil (3 1/2-4 cups)

Serving

Directions

  1. 1
Cut the chicken into 1-inch cubes. Mix the marinade ingredients (the first 9 ingredients listed) and marinate the chicken for 20 minutes.
  2. 2
    To prepare the sauce:.
  3. 3
Mix together all of the sauce ingredients. Pour them into a small pot and bring to a boil, stirring continuously. Turn the heat down to low and keep warm while you are deep-frying the chicken.
  4. 4
    To deep-fry the chicken:.
  5. 5
Add the marinated chicken pieces a few at a time, and deep-fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and then place chicken in warm oven (130 degrees) while you continue frying. Repeat with the remainder of the chicken. Just before you are finished deep-frying, bring the sauce back up to a boil.
  6. 6
Place the chicken on a large platter and pour the sauce over. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve the Sesame Chicken with rice.

I asked my husband how many stars we should rate this out of 5...he said 10. We both really enjoyed this meal. Not too much breading over the chicken...just the perfect amount. Since my husband doesn't care for really spicy food I opted to use 1/4 of a teaspoon of chili paste...I could taste a tiny bit of heat and will increase the amount to 1/2 next time..and so on and so forth. I opted to use the 1/2 cup and sugar and felt it provided the right amount of sweetness...one of these days I might try some Splenda sugar substitute as well. Thank you for sharing this tasty recipe....it will definately be in circulation in my recipe box.

Really this recipe is so so great!! I doubled the sauce and it was just too great. I didn't have the sesame oil so I used regural oil and it was still super duper. A real crowd pleaser for sure!!!

This is an excellent recipe for Sesame Chicken! Flawless ... just as the name implies! I did not have chili paste on hand, so I used red pepper flakes (about 3/4 tsp.) and the "heat level" was just right. You did not mention the type of vinegar to use, so I used Rice Wine Vinegar, which turned out great. Thanks for posting this! We will definately be making this again!

If I could give you more stars I would... This recipe is just wonderful!!! I made it for the two of us, and we ate the whole amount; my husband then asked if I had more!!! I will be serving this soon again. Very, very nice. If I could I would tell everyone at Zaar to make it!
