El Torito's Kahlua Mousse

A copy cat recipe from El Torito's that's creamy- yummy.

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    In a large bowl beat the 2 cups cool whip with the cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. 2
    With a spatula stir in the cocoa powder, instant coffee and sugar and blend well.
  3. 3
    Add kahlua and stir thoroughly with a spatula.
  4. 4
    Spoon into 6 dessert cups and chill.
  5. 5
    When ready to serve, dust the top of each serving with chocolate sprinkles and crown with a dollop Of cool whip.

    Serve with wafer cookies.

I actually tripled this dessert and my results were fantastic! I remember eating this at El Torito when I was younger. I would always get their sour cream chicken enchiladas and finish it with this Kahlua Mousse. I wasn't too sure if it was going to taste exactly like it did in the restaraunt but one bite convinced me that it sure did. You brought back some wonderful memories for me...thanks!

    This was yummy and very easy to make. A lighter alternative to a heavier mousse with eggs, cream, etc.

    This is delicious! And so easy to make. I could not stop eating it and before I knew it there was none left for anyone else. This is a keeper!
