A tasty sauce you can throw together on those nights that you don't have much time or have unexpected company drop in. You can add meats, veggies or whatever your preference is to the sauce.

Quite honestly, I wasn't impressed with this recipe at all and couldn't decipe between 3 stars or two. I've actually had inexpensive canned sauce that I thought was better. Yes, it's quick and easy but I probably won't make it again. Thanks for posting it, though, and I'm glad to see others have enjoyed it more than I.

I didn't have canned tomatoes so I used fresh... it took a little longer because of that but I LOVED the combination of spices. THANKS!

This is a simple, handy recipe. I cut the sugar in half and added fresh garlic and onion, sliced black olives, and a splash of red wine. Nice over some angel hair pasta. Thanks Junebug.

Love, Love, Love this sauce! I was planning on using another sauce from this site, but realized at the last minute that it needed to simmer for 2 hours. I decided to go with this one and I'm glad I did! I cut the sugar down to 2 tablespoons as I was a little hesitant and it seemed perfect. From now on, this will be my go to sauce!!
