This is a wonderful alternative to expensive store-bought hair gel. Enjoy! This recipe is from Rima Soni's Q& A Trouble Shooter column of this week's Weekend magazine.

1 natural gel (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
A natural way to set hair is to dilute milk with water and apply this solution to your hair before styling it.
  2. 2
Use a comb and let your hair dry naturally.
  3. 3
    Don't use a hair dryer.
  4. 4
Milk works like a great conditioner and setting lotion.
  5. 5
    Enjoy!

This is a life-saver!! 3 hours before my Christmas Party, my fringe just refused to stay still and I really did't want to use a store-bought gel. I sprinkled it on my hair and dipped my brush into the liquid and brushed my hair. My fringe behaved itself so well that despite me wearing a headband, it stayed put after the headband was removed. This "gel" also fluffed my hair up a bit and I love that extra volume! Thanks for posting this.

This is a good volumiser, too! I also sometimes use simply aloe vera gel in my hair as a real "gel" and use rice flour as dry shampoo
