1 clean microwave

This worked pretty good to get stuff off that wasn't TOTALLY caked on. I am giving this 5 stars, because I'm sure it would be great if it weren't for the dirty-ness of my microwave. Be sure to get in there before people such as -ahem- father-in-law -cough- microwaves everything in the house and your microwave smells like a taco-cheese-thai noodle-chicken-baked apple-leftover surprise! I did the boiling thing twice, and still had to dip my paper towel into the lemon water and scrub the sides. The microwave looks like new NOW though! Thanks for posting this!

Amazing! I boiled the water and lemon in a pot on the stove ,than i left it in the microwave for 5 minutes. Worked like a charm!

This worked wonderfully for me. The key here, I think, is that you need to bring the water to a boil and then let it boil for the 20 seconds stated. 20 seconds total won't do much more than warm the water. I nuked it on high for about 4 minutes, then left it in there with the door closed for about 10 minutes. After that, everything wiped off with minimal scrubbing. Thanks for posting this...this will definitely be part of my kitchen cleaning rotation, as I'm the ONLY one in the house who bothers to wipe up splatters in the microwave.

This is the ONLY way I will ever clean my microwave again. I used 1 cup of water & about 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, microwaved for 5 minutes and let it sit for about 5 minutes. The crud wiped off with a damp cloth. Consider me impressed!
