A standby of my mother's for Sunday dinners. She called them "Greek Onions" though I have my doubts that Greek cooks would recognize the recipe.

SERVES 8 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

These are really good! I only had regular onions, which I sliced thin, then mixed them with the honey/ketchup mixture, and baked in the woodstove. They came out beautifully. I made this for the Healthy Choices tag game. Thank you for sharing.

I used Walla Walla sweets and well, yum! I need a good Sunday roast to go with this!

These are very easy and very good! I did not use the bottled onions. Vidalia onions are in season and I sliced a couple layered them in the casserole and topped them off with the wonderful sauce. After covering the dish, I baked them in the preheated oven for about 15 to 20 minutes. They had a slight crunch. Thanks for sharing!

I ued fresh onions, quartered. Mixed a bit of Balsamic vinegar with the honey & catsup and they were wonderful - baked 15 minutes. They still had some crunch. I will try this again using bottled onions but love the fresh ones too Thanks eebrag
