I had memories of my mom making these when I was young, they used to be on the Bisquick box. I just made them this morning and DH and DS enjoyed them. A nice change from a typical biscuit and jam, but with not much more effort. Made mine with skim milk and half raspberry jelly and half orange marmalade. Thanks for posting!

These were alright. The kids liked them alot. I made them with homemade strawberry jam. They really just taste like a biscuit with jam on them but are really worth the little effort that they take. I'll be making them again.

I also tend to be a "from scratch" person, but I was low on ingredients, and wanted something dessert-like, and since I had the bisquick thought I'd try it. These came out so much better than I had expected. I did add an extra tablespoon of sugar since I have a bit of a sweet tooth, and I also added 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla. I used chunky peach jam in the middle. I also recommend the lower baking time — at 10 minutes mine even started to burn a bit. But they were still so good, they're still getting the 5-star rating they deserve. That's why, although I am a "from scratch" person, I will try something on occasion like this that catches my eye. You never know when you'll be this pleasantly surprised. In fact I think I'm going to stop typing and go have another one!

I used this recipe this morning and my family LOVED it! Great Job Katrina! The only thing I did differently was cut down the cooking time to approximately 8 minutes-- at 10 minutes my first batch had burnt bottoms. Will definately do again!
