I gave this recipe 4 stars because I used the extra step suggested in cooking the pasta slightly before putting it in the crock pot.I thought this recipe was a great homeade type mac and cheese. I did make a few changes based on the recommendations of previous reviews. I used dried minced onion because that is all I had, we did find it to be a little over powering so I may cut it in half or omit it next time.I used 16oz of light Velveeta,3 cups of skim milk and used Barilla Plus elbows. I did cook the pasta for about 7-8 mins before mixing it and putting it in the crockpot. The pasta was cooked perfectly when it was done.I may try putting it in try next time and just cooking a little while longer. We also added bacon bits which gave it an even better taste. I will definitely be making this again, but will cut it in half the next time, I like using it for a side dish, although it is delicious enough for a full meal!! Thank you for sharing.

I don't know if my crock pot's heat setting is different than what is required to make this recipe, but two hours on low was way too long to cook the macaroni. I thought it was a little bland even with sharp cheddar (and xtra cheese) and the flour made the texture of the sauce grainy.

This mac-n-cheese ROCKS! I did however double the amount of cheese (used sharp cheddar) as my family likes it very cheesy. If all you have ever eaten is mac and cheese from the box, then this is going to be different from anything you have ever tried. This my friends is how it is SUPPOSED to be! Pasta that is NOT mushy and a rich flavor. I had no trouble whatsoever reheating some, just a splash of milk a little more cheese and viola...you have perfection again. Thanks SO much for sharing Pamela, this is SO easy to make and so reasonable I am sure this will grace our table often!

This was very easy and delicious. took it to a family picnic and was a hit. I did add more cheese about 1 cup more than called for. otherwise followed recipe exact.
