Easy Chicken Marsala

This is an easy recipe that is company-worthy, I have served this to guests many times with rave reviews all around --- this is very good

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    Pound the chicken breasts to about 1/4-inch thick (does not have to be exactly 1/4-inch).
  2. 2
    Mix together flour, seasoning salt, pepper, garlic powder and oregano in a shallow dish.
  3. 3
    Coat the chicken pieces in the flour mixture on all sides.
  4. 4
    Heat butter and oil in a large skillet and brown the chicken on one side.
  5. 5
    Turn the chicken over and add in the sliced mushrooms.
  6. 6
    Pour in the Marsala and sherry; mix to combine.
  7. 7
    Cover the skillet and simmer chicken and mushrooms for about 15-20 minutes (turning the chicken once).
  8. 8
    Serve the chicken with Parmesan cheese if desired.

So EASY!! I didn't change a thing, but next time I think I will up the Marsala/Sherry mix to get more of the wonderful sauce. With recipes this delicious and easy, why go out to eat?!

    Kitten, this was just wonderful. Chicken Marsala is one of my favorite dishes in the world, and this is a fantastic version of it. We were having dinner guests today, so this was perfect. I served it with mashed potatoes and some oven-roasted broccoli and cauliflower, and I got raves from everyone. Thanks!

    OMG, so yummy. We love Chicken Marsala,this recipe beats all. I belive it is the amount of Marsala and oregano. I made the recipe just as stated, but, for 2 people using the full amount of Marsala & sherry as we love the sauce. Thank you Kitten, fot posting this DELICIOUS recipe for our favorite chicken.
