We love kielbasa so thinking I could get my family to try something new came up with this for lunch. Now it is a quick favorite for anytime. You can adjust the amounts to suit your taste or what you have on hand.

SERVES 4 , 4 generous servings (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Swirl a small amount of olive oil into a large skillet.
  2. 2
Slice or dice kielbasa into bite size pieces.
  3. 3
Add kielbasa, onion, garlic and carrots to oil.
  4. 4
When kielbasa starts to brown, add cabbage to skillet.
  5. 5
When cabbage starts to caramelize, add red pepper flakes.
  6. 6
If desired, top with a dollop of sour cream.
  7. 7
Easy and can be adapted to your family's taste. Sometimes we add more kielbasa or carrots.

I really like this! I prefer my kielbasa quite carmelized so I browned it well before adding the onion, garlic and shredded carrots. I added the cabbage last and took it off the heat while it still had some texture. Yum!

Very nice and made in a jiffy. I used a Napa cabbage, as I don't really care for the regular type. I also felt it needed some more garlic, along with salt and pepper.

Very good. We had this for dinner tonight and enjoyed it very much. It was easy and quick so that was a plus also. I had about 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper — but we like spicy — and did not have a carrot. Thanks Tlu. I will be making this again.
