The cookies themselves are just fine, I would give them a 5 for taste, but since they are titled Doubletree, I gave the recipe a 3. I made these cookies following the recipe exactly. While they were good cookies, I don’t think they are very similar to the Doubletree’s cookies at all. The ingredients are right on, but I think maybe the amounts/prep are a bit off. I will play around with this recipe to see if I can make it more authentic, as I do love Doubletree’s infamous cookies.

The family thought these were good, but still preferred choc. chip cookies to these. I did make the dough the nite before to let it meld the flavors as others suggested too. Was kinda like choc. chip, but not. Maybe not different enough not to compare the two. Thanks for posting. We will see what others think when I serve them besides family.

These are heavenly good. I made the dough and sent it off to be cooked by 4 teenagers, a rather risky endeavour at the best of times. They succeeded wildly and saved 1 (oh, joy - 1!) for me to sample. It was really scrumptious. This recipe obviously has been very carefully worked out, and I changed nothing, nor felt it needed any changing. It's perfect.

I don't even remember what the original Doubletree Chocolate Chip Cookies taste like because it's been so long since I've had one. What I do know is that when I made these cookies last night and sampled one they were absolutely heavenly! I love the buttery flavor of the cookie and the hint of cinnamon. These cookies hit the spot for my sweet tooth (teeth). My husband and I both enjoyed them thoroughly. Thanks for posting!
