Delicious in a Flash/You Have It All on Hand Salad Dressing

Recipe #167054 | 2 min | 2 min prep | add private note

By: Sarah Chana
May 5, 2006

Another great salad idea from my friend, Alla. This is the perfect recipe when you have about 5 seconds to make up a salad and no dressing on hand. ALL MEASUREMENTS HERE ARE APPROXIMATE. Adjust to your taste. This dressing goes on a huge array of green salads; experiment freely with this. It is also a good way to use up that leftover pickle juice which some of us feel guilty just tossing down the sink. (My husband will drink the stuff straight, but the mere thought of that, well...)

1 cup (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Whisk everything together. Taste and adjust accordingly.
  2. 2
Can store in the refrigerator for at least a week or two.

I made this a long time ago but I guess I forgot to review. I now keep jars of pickle juice after the pickles are gone, just for this dressing. I like it best with honey but only use 1 heaping Tbsp...I like it with more but its too sweet for DH. This is great on a salad but even better as a dip for chips, fries or veggies.

Delicious! I wanted to whip up a pasta salad for lunch, and this went perfectly with the ingredients I had on-hand. This would make an excellent dressing for coleslaw, as well. Thanks for posting, Sarah Chana!

Very flavorful dressing from just a few ingredients. I used sweet pickle juice so I cut the sugar back to one tablespoon.

This was quick, easy, and delicious. Made it a few months ago but forgot to rate it. I used fat free miracle whip in place of the mayo and omitted the sugar. Will make again.
