Honey Date Nut Bars

SERVES 8 (change servings and units)

    Make the filling: Boil dates, honey, and water until thick, about 5-10 minutes.

    add the nuts.
  3. 3
    Set aside to cool a bit.
  4. 4
    Prepare the crust: Combine all dry ingredients with the melted butter.
  5. 5
    Press half of the mixture into a lightly greased 13 x 9 pan.
  6. 6
    Cover with filling mixture and top with remaining half of crust mixture. Smooth on Apple Sauce.

    Press lightly.
  8. 8
    Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

    Cut into squares when cool. Place in fridge to firm up.
