Dairy-Free Ranch Dressing

Recipe #65119 | 45 min | 45 min prep | add private note

This is a delicious dressing, especially for those who can't tolerate dairy! If you can eat dairy, feel free to substitute sour cream or buttermilk for the soy milk mixture. Or use low-fat or fat-free mayo and this can be very healthy! Prep time includes time to chill.

SERVES 12 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Mix lemon juice and soy milk and let sit for 10 minutes. (An easier way to think about the measurement is to pour 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice into a measuring cup and add soy milk until it reaches 1/2 cup.)
  2. 2
In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice and soy milk mixture, chives, parsley, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
  3. 3
Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.

Absolutely delicious! If one wanted to make it thicker like a dip then I would suggest maybe cutting the soymilk/lemon juice mixture in half. Wow! This opens a new chapter in dairy free eating for me! Thank you so much!

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!! My daughter had been without her Ranch dressing for soooo long. This is awesome! I made her a batch and I made myself some and added 4 teaspoons on Red Hot Sauce for a low fat Spicy Ranch!

Yum! I was so happy when I fouund this one Kree. I served it with grape tomatoes, peppers, and baby carrots along with a meat meal. No one could figure out how I got pareve (non dairy) ranch dressing! I made the recipe as written but I had to use Miracle Whip instead of mayo because thats all I had. I would recommend against this- the Miracle Whip has it's own distinctive seasoning which impedes the ranch flavour. I also added 1/4 tsp. dry mustard which was nice. Thanks so much for this one Kree.

I made this ages ago and totally forgot to review it. It was super for my lactose intolerant DH when he wants a "dairy" salad dressing. Instead of powers I use real garlic and onion and instead of soy milk we have a lactose free 1% milk. Tasted great.
