This recipe goes together so easy. It also rolls out and cuts nice. You can bake them right away or chill and roll out later. I recommend using parchment paper. I use it for all my cookies. No need to grease your pans and you can reuse the paper.

This was a straight-forward, easy recipe with good, strong results. I always like recipes that I have all the ingredients on hand so this recipe fit the bill when I started doing some holiday baking. Instead of rolling out and cutting right away, I chilled overnight, rolled and used cookie cutters to cut out shapes (I followed everything else exactly). This cookie is very basic, taste-wise, but it certainly is easy to use and a great start to decorated Christmas cookies!

The kids loved making these. They made all sorts of shapes and then decorated them with colored sugar. I found the dough to be tricky to work with tho. It was very sticky, so I chilled it for a bit. It was great when cold, but quickly became sticky again. You have to work fast or it gets messy. The kids had a great time regardless - thanks for sharing!
