politics aside, a damn fine drink.

SERVES 1 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1 lime
  • 2 fluid ounces rum
  • 4 fluid ounces cola

Directions

  1. 1
    Squeeze the lime into a Collins glass and drop in the lime shells.
  2. 2
    Pound them a bit.
  3. 3
    Fill the glass with ice.
  4. 4
    Add the rum.
  5. 5
    Top with cola.

Damn fine indeed! My Coke lately has been Coke Zero and it turns out very well using that. A generous squeeze of lime in the glass and rubbed around the rim for good measure! I adore this drink!

    This is my happy hour drink of choice. I only use Captain Morgan's spiced rum, though. Dropping in those lime shells is a must!

    My drink of choice on a recent holiday to Bali. I was planning to post it, but found Gay's recipe first. I love the suggestion to drop in the shells and pound them (something they didn't do in Bali). I have had this with white and dark rum, and it's just as good either way

    Oh Yes! Damn fine drink my dear. Only thing better than one of these is 3 or 4, aahyayayayaya! Works fine with Diet, Caffiene free Coke too!
