An interesting twist on an old favorite

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Saute the onion and garlic in the olive oil in a small saucepan until the onion is tender but not brown. Combine the flour, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix well. Stir in the cheese, ham and mushrooms.
  2. 2
    Whisk the milk and eggs in a bowl until well blended. Stir in the onion mixture. Add the milk mixture to the cheese mixture and mix well. Spoon into a greased 9-inch pie plate. Bake at 425 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve with fresh fruit and muffins.

    Really easy! I made the in patty tins just to make them easier to handle for the kids at speedway tonight. Used bacon, courgettes and fresh mushrooms but still came out great, thankyou!

    Thank you so much Northern_Reflectionz for posting this. It's pretty much the recipe I used to make but which, like so many recipes in the past, I have mislaid! SO glad to find it here. I'll be using thinly sliced fresh field mushrooms and some baby spinach leaves, and adding more garlic and some thyme.

    This is wonderful and so easy! I used extra sharp cheddar instead of the colby-jack cheese, and added some mixed dried herbs too. It would also be delicious using leftover bacon. I'll definitely make this again!
