This is to die for! Don't be shocked by the amount of garlic, it does work. I just wouldn't recommend any up-close-personal-contact for a couple days....

It falls to pieces when you take it out of the crock pot. I used dried herbs, and don't be afraid to be a little generous with them. Don't skimp on the garlic. Very yummy.

This was very nice. Next time I will add more garlic though. I will also try with wine instead of stock.

FANTASTIC! I put this in in the morning at about 9.30 and left it while out at the beach all day. I was a bit hesitant about having a dinner without pasta/rice but took the suggestion and had lovely French crusty bread smothered in the roasted soft garlic, alongside pieces of the chicken which had literally fallen off the bone and a green salad. I did use alot more herbs than the recipe - just grabbed handfuls from the garden and stuffed them in the cavity along with a cut up lemon. I also added, as another reviewer did, a half glass of white wine in addition to the stock. This is definitely a keeper however, next time I will not use anywhere near as much liquid, probably just a dash of wine/stock as there was a HUGE amount of liquid which in fact I have frozen to use as a base for soup. Thanks for this recipe! It is great!

This was intense! Came home to SUCH a fragrance of herbs and garlic. It was wonderful made with skinless thighs and breasts and was done in 5 hours on High.
