Crock Pot Wild Rice Mix

Recipe #329188 | 3¼ hours | 5 min prep | add private note

I like to put crock pot meals together early in the afternoon so that I can turn on the crock pots and go run errands, set the table, etc. and be ready and relaxed when my guests arrive. After trying different methods for making wild rice mixes - I think I hit on the right timing and water to get the rice to turn out just right. I don't know if you'd really want to call this a recipe — maybe just a crock pot tip????

SERVES 8 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 2 (6 ounce) packages long grain and wild rice blend, mixes

  • 4 cups water

Directions

  1. 1
Place in crock pot on High for 3 hours. Check it after 2 1/2 hours of cooking. If it's done early just turn off the pot - the rice will stay hot. The rice will be done to perfection!
