An easy recipe that produces tender pork chops with a wonderful gravy, I used a 3/4-inch thick center cut pork chops and browned them first, you may increase the amount of pork chops and double the sauce recipe, this can also be made in the oven for a shorter time

6 pork chops (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Place the pork chops in the crock pot.
  2. 2
Sprinkle with onions and garlic over and around the chops.
  3. 3
In a bowl mix together all remaining ingredients except the salt; pour over the chops.
  4. 4
Cook on low setting for about 7 hours or until the pork chops are cooked through and tender (cooking time will vary slightly depending on the size of your pork chops).
  5. 5
Season with salt to taste if desired.
  6. 6
    Serve over rice.

Flapping with joy over this one, Kitten. Another winner recipe. So easy. Like ridiculously easy! And a flavor that is really unique. We loved these. I did not brown them first, just layered in my crock pot, covered with onions and garlic, stirred up the sauce and dumped it over. Cooked on high for 1.5 hours, then on low for 3. Falling off the bone and just marvelous. Changes: had to substitute for the ketchup (who runs out of ketchup?). used v-8 thickened up with some wondra flour. i know, but it was all i had. didn't matter, turned out beautifully. will make again and will be in regular rotation. i don't even like pork and these are to die for. thanks, again! UPDATE - made the very next night for a friend's family...cooked them almost til done, then put in large disposable pan, they reheated. RAVE reviews and asked for recipe. Just wonderful. :]

This was my first time using pork chops in my crock pot and they came out soo great! My chops were really thin so I had it on high for about 2 hours and then low for another 2-3 till dinnertime. The meat was really tender and the sauce - OH MY! So good! Funny enough, everyone DEVOURED the onions and I was told to at LEAST double the onions next time! The flavour was incredible! Thank you!

Really good. I recommend doubling(sp?) the sauce. I also added cornstarch to thicken the sauce. After reading the reviews I only added 3/4 of soy sauce. I had no fresh ginger so I used about an 1/8-1/4 of dry ginger. I over cooked the pork chops but that is my fault. I used thin chops and they were done in 3 hours. Thanks Kittencal!
