Crock Pot Baked Potatoes

Great baked potatoes, got this recipe from family friend.

SERVES 3 -4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Select 3-4 nicely sized baking potatoes.
  2. 2
    Wash and dry potatoes, rub with vegetable oil and sprinkle with salt.
  3. 3
    Wrap in foil.
  4. 4
    Place in crock pot on low heat in the morning.
  5. 5
    Do not add liquid to crock pot.
  6. 6
    Slow cook for 6-8 hours.
  7. 7
    Serve topped with cheese, bacon, onion, etc.

How easy is this! I love baked potatoes. I also used rather large baking potatoes and came out perfect after 8 hours on low. I put these in before I went to work and enjoyed loaded baked potatoes with our dinner. I never thought to use the crock pot. Thank you for sharing!

    Dismal, partially-baked potatoes after nine hours. Not pleasant. I'll bake them in the oven as usual next time. Not fluffy when split, but dense, overly moist.

    This recipe also works without the tin foil , its the only way to do baked potato.

    I have used this recipe twice and both times the potatoes came out perfect. I don't think I will ever bake potatoes in an oven again!
