Crock Pot Applesauce

Recipe #69127 | 3½ hours | 25 min prep | add private note

By: LoveBakedIn
Aug 20, 2003

This is our family's favorite applesauce. I found the recipe over 20 years ago when I was looking for something to make in the crock pot that I received as a wedding gift.

6 cups (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Mix apples (about 12 cups) with cinnamon and sugar and put into crock pot.
  2. 2
Pour water and lemon juice over apples. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.

Worked like a charm. Three batches in three days and my non-applesauce-eating husband ate three helpings himself. Thank you so much!

WOW WOW WOW . . . . I don't know what else to say!! SO simple and SO incredibly good! I bought a bushel of cortland apples and used ALL of them to make this applesauce because it was THAT good! It tastes like the inside of an apple pie and when its warm, it is absolutely FANTASTIC over vanilla ice cream!! I can't believe something so simple and easy is SO good! Thank you very much! This recipe is a DEFINATE keeper!!!
