Creamy Garlic Penne Pasta

This is a delicious, super quick side or main dish. I got it from the back of a pasta box and it is yummy!

SERVES 6 -8 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Melt butter and add garlic in a medium sauce pan.
  2. 2
    Cook over medium for 1 minute.
  3. 3
    Add flour and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. 4
    Stir in broth and milk and cook, stirring frequently, until sauce boils and thickens.

    Add parsley, salt, pepper and cheese.
  6. 6
    Stir until cheese is melted.
  7. 7
    Toss hot pasta with sauce and serve immediately.

Yummy! It's like the sauce on Red Lobster's Lobster Alfredo. Will make again, soon! I tried it again, but this time used the sauce for a Chicken and Brocolli lasagna. It was teriffic!

    i thought this was deeelicious. added a few tbsp of fresh basil and a dash of crushed red pepper. next time will try adding sauteed red onion and peas. the portions worked out well for us ... plenty of sauce.

    I had never tried making a creamy pasta anything, but this was GREAT! I added some stir-fry sliced chicken sauteed in garlic and my husband wanted to know when I'd be making it again. Thanks!

    Just like the recipe title, this is creamy and garlicky... yum! I used chicken broth where there was an option and thought it tasted wonderful. This is quick, easy, and a great dish to make during the busy work week.
